The second session was held on Monday, April 15, 2024, at the headquarters of the Insurance Bureau, headed by Ms. Israa Saleh Daoud, President of the Insurance Bureau, and in the presence of Mr. Jamil Abu Bakr, Director General of the Directorate of Insurance Companies Affairs in the Kurdistan Region, the Commissioner-Director of the Insurance Association, and a number of specialists in the field of reinsurance. To complete the discussion of the draft reinsurance standards instructions prepared by the Bureau as one of the requirements for implementing the provisions of the Law Regulating Insurance Business No. 10 of 2005, as these instructions dealt with organizing internal and external reinsurance businesses. During the meeting, some amendments and additions were made to some provisions of the draft presented by the attendees, in a way that is compatible with reinsurance work.
For the purpose of completing the review of the terms of the instructions and including the comments made by the attendees. It was decided to postpone the session to a date to be determined later for the purpose of preparing the final version before adjourning it for the purpose of proceeding with its legislation
