On Sunday, 5/12/2024, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Ms. Israa Saleh Dawoud at the headquarters of the Insurance Bureau, attended by representatives of public and private insurance companies and the authorized director of the Iraqi Insurance Association, to discuss the topic (price chaos and the health insurance policy).
The attendees agreed to maintain the applicable tariff prices in the insurance documents issued by the Iraqi Insurance Association, which represent the minimum prices, while giving companies the right to maneuver by going down to 20% of the specified price, with the exception of engineering insurance prices and marine insurance documents, which will be prepared by the Iraqi Insurance Association and circulated to all Insurance companies .
The health insurance document and the table of risk probabilities prepared by the Insurance Association were also discussed, and the attendees saw that it is necessary to take into account the age groups and whether the visitor or resident holds an entry visa or not.
Accordingly, a health insurance document will be prepared that will be unified in the Iraqi insurance market and consistent with Health Insurance Law No. 22 of 2020.
