The Chairman of the Insurance Bureau attended the meetings of the Board of Directors of the General Arab Insurance Federation on the sidelines of the 10th International Insurance Conference, Aqaba 2025, held from May 11 to 14, 2023. The conference was held under the auspices of the Central Bank of Jordan in cooperation with the General Arab Insurance Federation, with the participation of more than 1,000 figures representing 33 Arab and foreign countries.

The Insurance Bureau’s participation was part of efforts to enhance cooperation with regional and international markets, review the latest developments in the insurance sector, and exchange expertise and knowledge with a select group of experts and companies operating in the field.

The conference, which is one of the most prominent insurance events in the region, addressed a number of issues, including the insurance industry and the importance of artificial intelligence. It also featured discussion sessions that reviewed future challenges and opportunities in light of global economic transformations.

During the conference, the Chairman of the Insurance Bureau emphasized the Bureau’s commitment to supporting initiatives that contribute to developing the sector and enhancing the regulatory environment to achieve sustainable growth for the insurance industry in the region.

For the first time, Iraq is participating with more than 15 insurance and insurance brokerage companies, which indicates the openness of the Iraqi insurance market to regional markets, which will enhance its performance through the exchange of expertise and benefiting from the experiences of others in the insurance industry.
