As part of joint efforts to enhance insurance coverage and expand the scope of health services, the President of the Insurance Bureau announced its cooperation with the Health Insurance Authority to provide health coverage for visitors and expatriates to Iraq. This cooperation will be facilitated by activating the role of licensed insurance companies in issuing health insurance policies for these categories.

The President of the Bureau emphasized that this cooperation represents an important step toward ensuring protection and health care for visitors and expatriates and reflects Iraq’s commitment to providing fair and comprehensive health and insurance services to all those present on its territory. Insurance companies are responsible for issuing policies covering emergency cases and essential services in accordance with regulatory standards approved by the Bureau, using policy templates that cover these categories.

This cooperation comes within a shared vision to develop the health insurance infrastructure and enhance the efficiency of responding to health risks, keeping pace with developments in the field of insurance and health care at the regional and international levels.
