The Insurance Bureau held a meeting at its headquarters on Sunday morning, June 2, 2024, headed by Ms. Israa Saleh Dawoud, President of the Bureau, and in the presence of representatives of public and private insurance companies, insurance experts, and the Managing Director of the Iraqi Insurance Association, in order to resume discussion of the draft reinsurance standards instructions, where Mr. the Managing Director presented The Insurance Association has provided a detailed explanation regarding the retention mechanism and the purpose of issuing instructions after taking into account the observations raised at the session. It was decided to postpone the meeting to another date.
