The celebration was attended by the representative of the Minister of Finance, Counselor Dr. Salah Al-Din Al-Hadith, and the gentlemen representing the general managers and executive managers of companies operating in the insurance sector.
The ceremony began with a speech delivered by the President of the Bureau, welcoming the guests present, and explaining the importance of this platform and the stages of its establishment since its proposal by the Bureau’s Control Department after noticing the existence of some problems in the work of the insurance sector, the most important of which may be the issue of engineering insurance. This was followed by a speech delivered by the Director of the Control Department at the Bureau, in which he praised this great achievement that will provide accuracy and time in monitoring and following up on the work of all insurance companies.
These efforts were crowned with the support of the President of the Bureau to establish this platform strongly in cooperation with the Information Systems Department in the Bureau to accomplish this work and with self-efforts and with the support of the National Data Center in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, which in turn facilitated the process of linking the entry with the electronic portal platform of Ur.
This came in line with the government’s direction to automate the work of government institutions and the trend towards using technological systems and keeping pace with the development taking place in countries around the world.
In the same context, the Insurance Bureau confirmed that there are other steps that will contribute to transforming the work of monitoring the insurance sector electronically, as this matter is one of the most important goals of the Bureau.
