The President of the Insurance Bureau receives the acting Director General of the Iraqi Insurance Company. Ms. Israa Saleh Dawood, President of the Insurance Bureau, received the acting Director General of the Iraqi Insurance Company on Thursday, July 24, 2025, for a meeting that discussed ways to support and develop the company’s performance and enhance its role in the Iraqi insurance market.

During the meeting, the President of the Bureau emphasized the importance of enhancing joint cooperation between insurance companies to serve this vital sector and support its stability and growth. She emphasized the need to prioritize training and qualification programs to raise the efficiency of the company’s human resources.

The meeting witnessed a consensus on the importance of qualifying and developing the company’s staff as one of the fundamental pillars for addressing the challenges facing insurance companies today, especially in light of rapid technological and economic developments.

The two sides also discussed the most prominent challenges facing insurance companies and ways to overcome them through supportive policies and targeted administrative and technical reforms in the next phase.

This meeting comes within the framework of the Insurance Bureau’s efforts to support Iraqi insurance companies and enhance their role in building a developed insurance sector that keeps pace with international standards and serves the national economy.
