Representatives of public and private insurance companies and a number of Bureau employees attended. The Bureau&#8217;s President opened the workshop by delivering a lecture in which she welcomed the attendees. She provided an introductory overview of the importance of the workshop&#8217;s topic, which included insurance fraud, an issue that significantly impacts the economy, causing significant losses for companies and individuals alike. She also defined insurance fraud as any deliberate behavior aimed at obtaining financial gains or undue advantages through illegal means or by providing misleading information to insurance companies. The President of the Court also began by defining insurance fraud, which has accompanied insurance since its inception. She also provided an introductory overview, explaining that insurance fraud first occurred in marine insurance and later spread to other types of insurance. The President of the Court also explained in detail the concept of fraud, its methods, ways, and causes, as well as how to mitigate it. She also explained how to activate a risk management unit or committee by developing a strategy to combat fraud, raising employee awareness, and avoiding bureaucratic methods in handling compensation and claims settlements. The President of the Court also explained the effects of fraud, including those affecting the national economy, insurance companies, and individuals. To prevent fraud, it is necessary to simplify procedures and improve oversight and audit systems, while adopting the use of technology as one of the most important means of combating insurance fraud. Mr. George also spoke extensively about political violence as a type of insurance coverage that has begun to spread, providing insurance coverage for property and vehicles that may be damaged as a result of politically motivated events.
